Target Audience: Casual, Kids (10 years and below) Direct-To-Consumer
HIDDEN's first ever physical event booth set up at Sands Expo and Convention Centre aimed to increase company presence and sales for products such as plushies, t-shirts and casual games for families and their kids. The concept booth took about a month or two to plan, draft, and coordinate to be finally set up for the two day event on 21th to 22th June (weekend). The game took about 3 weeks to be fully playable for the days of the event.
my contributions:
Contributed to the successful launch of the company’s first-ever physical event by providing on-site support for set up and booth management.
Actively engaged visitors at booths to drive sales, encourage sign-ups, and enhance brand visibility.
My Takeaway:
My internship at HIDDEN gave me valuable hands-on experience in experiential game design. I learned the importance of thorough playtesting to identify unforeseen issues and the necessity of refining content to suit diverse audiences.
Through route and puzzle designs, I have developed stronger problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Collaborating with my colleagues through daily task tracking and weekly feedback sessions also taught me the importance of structured workflows, teamwork, and clear communication.
I had faced challenges such as adjusting designs due to external constraints, but these experiences improved my adaptability and ability to think creatively under limitations. Most importantly, the internship strengthened my appreciation for how narrative, gameplay, and real-world environments can be combined to create niche but unique player experiences.
Overall, this attachment not only deepened my design skills but also gave me insight into the experiential entertainment industry, reinforcing my passion to pursue a career in game design.
